Cookies Policy

Last updated: 23 June 2026

This page explains what cookies and similar local storage SpecGrounded.Dev uses when you visit or interact with the site.

1. We don't use tracking cookies

SpecGrounded.Dev does not use advertising, cross-site tracking, or any other non-essential cookies.

First-party presentation analytics are cookieless: each visit generates a session id in memory via crypto.randomUUID(). This id is never written to a cookie or persisted to any storage mechanism — it disappears when you close or reload the page.

2. Functional storage we do use

The gated demo uses your browser's localStorage to remember the last presentation view you reached, so the demo can resume where you left off instead of starting from the beginning.

This item is keyed by presentation slug and your identity. It is first-party, strictly necessary for the resume feature, and is not used for tracking or analytics of any kind.

You can clear it at any time via your browser settings — look for “Clear site data” or “Clear localStorage” in your browser's developer tools or privacy settings.

3. Third-party: Vimeo video

The demo video on this site is embedded from Vimeo (player.vimeo.com). The embed uses Vimeo's Do Not Track mode (the dnt=1 URL parameter), which means Vimeo does not set tracking or analytics cookies and does not store personally identifying viewing data about your session.

Vimeo may still set strictly necessary cookies required to deliver and play the video. For full details, see Vimeo's Privacy Policy.

4. Your choices

Because this site uses no non-essential cookies, no consent banner is required. You have not been asked to accept cookies, because there are none to accept.

You can still block or clear cookies and local storage at any time using your browser's settings. Doing so will not affect your ability to browse the site, though the demo's resume-position feature will be reset if you clear localStorage.
